A SuperDictionary for the Supernote community
I really wanted a native dictionary app, and was gutted when Supernote shelved the project. But for now, although it's far from perfect, I figured this app out. Because I'm also a user, I'll probably keep maintaining this until an official dictionary arrives!
Please let me know what you think or if you'd like to see more features, such as multi-language support, and I will have a look at it.

Tip: Add the app to your sidebar quick access for faster lookups while reading!
How to Use
- While reading, use the Text Selection tool to highlight a word
- Tap Copy from the dialogue
- Open Supernote Dictionary app (add it to your sidebar for quick access!)
- The definition appears automatically
- Tap related words to look them up too
- Tap "Back to Document" to return to reading

Installation (Sideloading)
Supernote requires sideloading via ADB to install third-party apps. Here's how:
Step 1: Enable Sideloading on Supernote
On your Supernote, go to Settings > Security and Privacy and toggle Sideloading to "on".
Step 2: Install ADB on Your Computer
- Mac: Install Homebrew, then run:
brew install android-platform-tools - Windows: Download Platform Tools, extract, and open Command Prompt in that folder
- Linux: Run:
sudo apt install adb
Step 3: Connect & Install
- Connect Supernote to your computer via USB cable
- Open Terminal (Mac/Linux) or Command Prompt (Windows)
- Verify connection:
adb devices(should show your device) - Install the app:
adb install /path/to/supernote-dictionary.apk - Launch the app on your Supernote and download the WordNet dictionary (~65MB)
adb devices shows nothing, try adb kill-server then adb devices again.
